Elements of an Online Newsroom

An online newsroom is typically hosted on your Web site and is created as a resource for reporters. At a minimum your online newsroom should include contact information for your spokesperson, recent news releases and images that can easily be downloaded. Keep in mind that reporters typically want their images as JPG files at 300 DPI.

Additional elements you may want to consider including in your online newsroom include Executive bios, Fact sheets, calendar of events, how-to videos, etc.

While it is tempting, please don’t force newsroom visitors to register in order to gain access. Most don’t want to spend the time and more than likely don’t have the time for a chore like this.
