CASE STUDY: Restaurant365
How do you set an emerging tech platform apart in the competitive restaurant tech space?
THE CHALLENGE
Restaurant365 is the only all-in-one, restaurant-specific accounting and back-office software platform, ultimately enabling restaurants to save up to 5% in food and labor costs. However, the restaurant tech space was growing rapidly as others look to “disrupt” a traditional industry. How can you catch busy restaurant owners’ attention to show them how an enhanced restaurant accounting and back-office platform could change the game for their bottom line?
THE SOLUTION
We developed a multifaceted approach to success, kicking off with in-depth audits of competitive strategy and Restaurant365’s existing communications before creating our own.
To secure media attention, we targeted local outlets in key cities, such as Austin, Texas and Irvine, Calif., as well as industry trade publications, leading to 46 feature stories. Beyond general outreach efforts, Snackbox developed case studies used by the sales team to showcase specific examples of how potential clients could maximize their own bottom lines (which led to new client onboarding), as well as bylined articles and creating a blog to amplify Restaurant365’s messaging.
Additionally, Snackbox worked to make the most of every industry opportunity to ensure Restaurant365 was top-of-mind for reporters. We promoted key thought leaders within the company for speaking opportunities and industry awards to highlight the team and the product itself, notably winning the Software as a Service (SaaS) Award for the Best Product for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
The team identified the crucial targets attending trade shows, set up meetings with the media, keeping potential investors in mind to ensure the right conversations were had.
These combined efforts led to securing over 800 media placements reaching an audience of more than 413.5 million, including developing six byline articles and two client case studies, which helped Restaurant365 add rich content to their expanded blog.
