Brian Mayfield Named President of Atlantic

BRIAN MAYFIELD NAMED PRESIDENT OF ATLANTIC, PATRICK HARRIS PROMOTED TO CHIEF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Huntsville, Ala. (May 13, 2013) – Atlantic, a Huntsville-based company specializing in remote sensing, surveying and consulting services, has named Brian Mayfield President and Chief Operating Officer of the company.  Mayfield previously served Atlantic as Executive Vice President.

In his new role as President and Chief Operating Officer, Mayfield will be responsible for evaluating Atlantic’s operational performance and creating innovative strategic modifications to Atlantic’s business and technical processes to ensure continued success for Atlantic’s clients.  He is filling the role of former President Patrick Harris, who has been promoted to Chief Business Development Officer. In his new role, Harris will provide oversight and guidance to Atlantic’s strategic pursuits in targeted and emerging markets throughout the industry.  Together, Mayfield and Harris, along with Steve Denney, Chief Executive Officer, will lead Atlantic to accomplishing its business objectives.

Mayfield has nearly 20 years of experience in the mapping industry and holds a number of certifications including: ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist, GISCI Certified GIS Professional, South Carolina Licensed GIS Boundary Photogrammetrist, and Virginia Licensed Surveyor Photogrammetrist.  Mayfield graduated from The University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography.
