El Paso Ghost Burger Challenge

“GHOST BURGER CHALLENGE” – CAN EL PASO HANDLE THE HEAT?

WHAT: We know that El Paso residents like their spicy foods…but who can really handle the heat? On April 10th, Executive Chef Sarah Kosravani of Star City Kitchen and Palomino Tavern, will be holding the “GHOST BURGER CHALLENGE.” The star ingredient… is the notorious ghost pepper!
Those brave enough to gulp down the GHOST BURGER (AKA “ghost busters”) the evening of April 10th will be rewarded with TWO FREE BEERS AND A PINT GLASS TO KEEP (consider it a trophy). Not to mention the incredible bragging rights they will gain!
The “GHOST BURGER” Ingredients:
- Bun brushed with cayenne-infused butter
- Burger patty seasoned with secret salsa, pepper flakes, and raw/diced habanero
- Ghost pepper jack cheese
- Roasted habanero and garlic aioli
- Battered and fried toreados (like onion rings)
WHO: Chef Sarah and the “ghost busters” (AKA burger eaters) of El Paso!
Quick Bio: Sarah Khosravani, executive chef of Palomino Tavern and Star City Kitchen & Bar, takes her burgers seriously! She hand-forms and seasons each patty individually, topping each burger off with fresh and homemade ingredients.
