Our Team’s Favorite Travel Tips
By: Jamie Hooker
Do you ever think, “There has to be better way” when you’re traveling? Luckily, our team has done their fair share of flying across the country. Here are some of our favorite tips for the next time you jet set:
- Always create a travel itinerary and note confirmation numbers, addresses, phone numbers, etc. It’s great to have a centralized location when you’re traveling, but is also great for your office mates and loved ones back home.
- Always bring a pair of fashionable, comfortable flats in your carry on! You never know when you’ll have to walk quickly to a new gate, navigate odd terrain, etc.
- Invest in an on-the-go phone charger (it’ll give you peace of mind)
- If you’re going to have a layover in an unfamiliar airport, research it before you get there. Identify a nice place for a meal and a drink so you’re layover feels like a vacation rather than a chore.
- For trips where you’re flying in/out in the same day, wear darker clothing so stains don’t show up (I don’t know about y’all, but I will never forget this tip!).
- Sometimes car service is worth the extra money; don’t be afraid to spend the cash if you’re headed to a big meeting. Fancy car and polite driver can ease even the biggest pre-meeting jitters.
- When traveling solo, consider activating “find my friends” on iPhone and connect with a buddy, that way they can see where you are if they’re worried (and don’t worry, you can always turn it off!).
- Bring a disposable toothbrush and travel toothpaste you don’t mind ditching after one use. It’s amazing how much cleaner you feel after brush your teeth! Especially after a day full of airport-ing.
We hope you take with you these tips for the next time you travel. We love making lives easier!
