CASE STUDY: Bone Spirits
How do you introduce four spirits labels in a crowded space?
THE CHALLENGE
Based in historic Smithville, Texas, Bone Spirits provides authentic spirits from farm to bottle in the categories of Vodka, Gin, White Whiskey and American Whiskey. Quality spirits handcrafted from locally-sourced grains using multi-step water filtration system. Our challenge was to launch four labels in Texas and beyond, actively working to drive consumer interest while attracting attention from buyers at liquor stores.
THE SOLUTION
Most ethanol producers are large, conventional, corporate distilleries. Due to increased demand and ease of permitting, they sell commercial-grade alcohol in bulk to be redistilled into most brands on the shelves. Bone Spirits produces on the highest quality beverage-grade alcohol and in contract to large corporations, is more aligned with the long term values of sustainability with communities and local farmers.
We used the “farm to bottle” concept as a differentiator on a local, regional and national scale, grabbing the attention of a wide range of reporters. From local television coverage to national business outlets, our team secured a variety of placements that benefitted the brand’s growth. Modern Distillery Age, BevNet, Austin American-Statesman and more covered the launch of the brands, creative recipes, as well as the Bone Spirits founder.
